2022 - I am the middle school math curriculum specialist in Salinas Union HSD. I work with 4 middle schools and assist with 5 high schools. One of my focuses is growing and sustaining Complex Instruction in Mathematics in our district, currently going into year 5 of implementation. I am a mom of 3 amazing boys - so when I’m not at work I’m attending golf or baseball games :) I taught middle school math for 9 years and high school for 4 before moving into this position as a TSA. 2021- I am a Math 1 and Transition to College Level Mathematics teacher at EAHS. This is my 13th year of teaching math, my 4th year at EAHS and with SUHSD. I have worked to flip my classroom instruction to many videos viewed at home and/or in class for note taking and using class time more effectively by reinforcing skills and getting deeper into the mathematics in teams. In the past 2 years I have been focusing on teaching using Complex Instruction to address status and equity in Mathematics.
