This session will introduce a free online platform called Formative that works for all subjects. This platform allows teachers create assessments or assignments (individually or collaboratively) where students can work on problems in multiple formats (multiple choice, fill in the blank, showing work, audio response, etc) or combination of these formats. Formative will also grade these assignments for you and will significantly reduce your grading time.
Learn how to communicate with parents using Blackboard, Remind and Talking Points. Learn about the pros and cons of each, so you can make an informed decision.
In this session we will look at using choiceboards in various aspects of your classroom and lesson design. These choiceboards can be ways that students engage in lessons, complete assessments, or extension activities. This can be used in both in person as well as in Distance Learning.
This session will address how complex trauma manifests in student behavior regulation and learning processes. We will also discuss how to activate resilience and support student success. Participants will not only learn theory, but will learn practical approaches to overcome the barriers to learning created by childhood trauma.
Adobe Express and Canva are websites that allow students to easily create posters, videos, presentations, and web pages. Students express their knowledge of a topic creatively through digital creations.
You will learn the ins and outs of Wakelet. How to use Wakelet in your class as well as for your personal use. A fun and simple way to curate, collaborate, app smash, and more. Learn new ways for students to do work, create profiles and for you to deliver lessons.
